Looks like the map at morotur.no has now been updated and matches the pointers that we found for the beginning of the path, but at the time of the trip we were a bit unsure, ended up following the red marker (and not the map) and I think it was the right choice, the forest trail was not the easiest, but charming and – well, you know, it’s a forest.

There’s a bunch of rough gravel roads (which might have even had asphalt patches in some places? not sure) and a number of different options to hike up and down.

Some snow was still there, over 300m, but it was only quite deep where we, strictly speaking, didn’t have to step: off the trail, to a bench at the side. Other than that, not deep enough to get it into the boots.

Great hike with nice forest and varying landscape. Very few people to meet, even on a nice sunny day.
